To share the love and words of Jesus with everyone and move
their hearts to become followers of Jesus Christ.
We feel a God-sent desire to share love, joy, peace and prosperity with all people. We believe by seeking God – first and foremost his love and will – we can achieve our mission. We pray that the Holy Spirit will guide us and empower us with spiritual gifts, so the love of Christ Himself flows through us. As a member church of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, we acknowledge the daily miracles of Christ in our lives and the lives of other Christians.
We maintain Jesus is Lord.
Everyone is welcome.
God’s love changes people
Everyone has something to contribute.
The world needs what we have to share.
We celebrate Holy Communion every Sunday at Grace. As Lutherans we believe that Jesus is present in the bread and the wine, and we invite all baptized Christians to come forward for communion. We come to have forgiveness of sins, peace with God and fellowship with one another. It is the Lord’s invitation and we pray that all will come. If you or your children are not prepared to receive communion, you may still come forward to receive a blessing. If you are unable to come forward, you may tell an usher this and our pastor will bring communion to where you are seated.
Beyond Our Walls
Grace Lutheran is a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). To learn more about the work that our faith community does nationwide and beyond please visit the ELCA website here.
Locally, churches are organized into “synods.” “Synod” means “to walk together.” So a synod is a group of churches who have chosen to walk together to do God’s will. Grace belongs to the North/West Lower Michigan Synod (yeah, it’s a mouthful!). To learn more about what Grace and other ELCA churches are doing in this part of Michigan please visit the synod website here.
